* A severe thunderstorm with hail occurred on the afternoon of July 4. Actual precipitation could have been higher because hail tends to bounce out of the rain gauge. The National Weather Service station at the Ontario airport recorded 1.32 inches of precipitation for the 24 hours ending at 8:00 AM on July 5.
