If you don't want to purchase one of these cables, you have another feasible option. You can use the Palm Serial HotSync cable with a 9 pin Male/Male NullModem adapter to achieve the same effect. You can also use any cable that connects your model of Palm to an external modem and a Male/Male Gender Bender to connect the Palm Pilot to the AM400 data cable. Both Gender Benders and NullModem adapters can be easily purchased at most computer stores for under $5. By Male/Male, I refer to connectors that have 2 male ports. (If you are ever confused by which connector is male, it is always the one where the furthermost inner connection is a pin)
