The wagon belongs to Hurley Legg who lives in  Meridian, ID. Hurley grew up logging with a team of horses and they have been part of his life ever since.

The driver, Mark Legg (Hurley's youngest son), has grown up around draft horses and proficiently handles the horses.

The horses belong to Kathy Ross.  Edna (grey) is 8 years old and Elaine (dark colored with a blaze, or stipe, on her face) is 9 years old.  Both are Percherons and weigh about 2100 pounds each and stand about 18.1 hands (about 72 and a half inches or about 6 feet) tall .

The Owyhee Watershed Council's educational activities are supported by the
Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board.
